ABOUT LONDON FOOTBALL ACADEMY
How We Got Here
Hello there! I’m Martin Egan, Founder & Head Coach of The London Football Academy.
I started the LFA back in 2003 when childhood obesity rates were beginning to become a real concern, and the need to get children active was becoming more important with each passing day.
I wanted to make football as accessible as possible to the north London community I grew up in, in and around Alexandra Park.
Nearly 20 years on, this year will see the LFA deliver an even greater number of soccer schools, multisport camps, after school clubs, PE lessons and lunchtime clubs. Since we kicked our first ball, the LFA has become one of the best-known coaching organisations in north London with large and devoted audiences.
Children and parents come away from LFA soccer schools enthusiastic about their experience. Carefully structured and innovative coaching courses ensure both experienced and novice players enjoy their time spent with us.
Here at the LFA we take great pride in our work with local schools and football clubs. These projects bring football to the community, giving children the opportunity to play football before, during, and after school. These initiatives have become even more important in recent times given rising trends in childhood obesity and crime rates.
Our team of experienced coaches now work with over 4,000 children every week. With the support of our community, we will continue to grow as word of our courses that excite and inspire are discovered by ever more families.
I hope you will be able to join us soon for another term of action packed sport, and look forward to welcoming you soon.
